I was delighted when one Saturday, my boss from work surprised me with a two-nights stay voucher at Munduk Moding Plantation. It really was such a nice surprise and I am grateful. Behind the humble voucher design, lies an experience that utterly beyond my expectation.
Not long after I received the voucher, I decided to redeem it close to Valentine’s Day. Although on weekdays, with my work arrangement, I was able to just go. Right after we packed what we need, we drove up north (again). But this time, the weather along the way was fairly nice. A bit drizzle close to our destination, but nothing really major. It was, in fact, pretty much sunny.
We arrived and instantly greeted by the innkeeper, while they were fetching a buggy cart to take us to the receptionist. It was quite a distance from the drop-off to the lobby. After checking in, we rode on a buggy cart to our luxury suite. The room was nothing short of magical.

We spent the first night just chilling. In the bathtub, wasting bath salts and foaming soap. After we cleaned ourselves up, we looked up the itinerary and activity they offers. While we were making ourselves comfortable, we said to ourselves to make the best of this stay. We were taken aback by how effortless it would be.
The day was quite cloudy, so there were not a lot of activity held. We started the day by eating the breakfast spread. The choices were quite vast. We ordered their fried rice and eggs with bacon. We took the opportunity to try things. We planned to spend the day differently. Technically I was still in work, so I was working. I spoke with Tri, their Marketing Manager. The convo was a blast! We exchanged contact and hoped for more collaboration. While my girlfriend spent her day chilling and making candles from used cooking oil, which was cool!

We had lunch at the restaurant. We picked a few interesting menu. We ordered various kind of satay, also fish and chips. The beef satay was my favorite! To top it off, I ordered the avocado mousse and gelato for the dessert. It was a delicious afternoon!

The surprise didn’t stop! After we spent a night in a luxury suite, we were being moved to a villa! With a jacuzzi and private swimming pool at it! The luxury suite was already nice, and now we have the experience updated! Although the day was still a bit cloudy, we wouldn’t let it diminish the experience it’s promised!
For the last night, we booked an 1-hour massage session for couple. The whole thing was…transcendence. I didn’t know my body could do that! After the session, we got the fragrant cinnamon and lime tea. Anyway, we spent the rest of the last night just chilling and soaked in the jacuzzi.

We spent the last morning by having breakfast in pool and swimming. It was a cold morning, almost no sun. We tried every spread for the breakfast. It was lovely. My girlfriend sulked, said she won’t leave! Haha! Of course, she won’t! With the exceptional service and the superb accommodation, Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort makes you feel like home.

I agree. We just want to go back!
